I moved to San Antonio with my family (wife and 4 kids) in the summer of 2018. While planning the move, we did extensive research on all the apartment communities in the Stone Oak area and put them all on a spreadsheet. We then checked reviews from sites such as yelp, google, apartmentratings.com, apartmentguide.com, etc. and populated the spreadsheet with the number of stars they all had on each of these sites as well as relevant feedback that people had provided. Once the spreadsheet was complete, Montecristo came out on top with flying colors. We then paid the Montecristo office a visit and they gave us a tour and we were lucky to find an apartment that met our requirements (3 bedrooms, first floor). About 3 weeks ago we moved out of Montecristo and we can honestly say we enjoyed our time there. Some of the things that we liked the most were: • The pool is fabulous, really beautiful and always kept clean, at one point our kids wanted to go to the pool every single day. • Free Wifi with good speeds at the pool and in the office and not to mention free coffee and delicious pastries. • A business center with a working printer. • They have an amazon hub which is a much safer way to receive packages than at the door. • They make sure tenants keep their patios clean. I once got a notice that I had some items that were in my patio that I had to remove. • Top-notch schools (for example Reagan High-School and Las Lomas elementary) are really close by. • The management staff are very professional and super friendly, and the maintenance team is always busy making sure the community is clean and they fix any issue pretty quickly. • Valet garbage pickup (Monday – Thursday) • Very friendly neighbors (some of which have lived in the community for many many years) • We always found a spot to park close to the apartment, and I have 3 cars. • Never saw any pests (for example, cockroaches and ants) in the community. • They are always engaging with the community, raffles, Easter celebrations, Christmas celebrations, Halloween patio contests, Zumba classes, etc. • Very close to the most popular grocery stores, restaurants and attractions (everything within a 10-minute drive). For example, 2 miles from Costco, Walmart, HEB, Trader Joe’s, Target, Office Depot, Restaurants, Hospitals, Regal Movie Theater, Ice skating, etc. and about a 10-minute drive to La Cantera, IKEA, Fiesta Texas, UTSA, North Star Mall, etc. We really hope this review helps you in your search for an apartment in the Stone Oak area.

I have lived here for a year and one month and I can honestly whole heartedly say this place is a wonderful place to live… BUT before I get into why you should consider making this place your home I will describe the issues I have had. My Jeep was one of the vehicles that was burglarized in the recent string of thefts. My wife left the door unlocked but nothing of value was in the vehicle. Another issue is the parking. I’m not gonna say much since everyone else has addressed that issue but my problem is that there are many out of state and even out of country license plates. I’ve seen several plates from mexico taking up spots in our lots. I have family in Mexico but you don’t see me going over there and taking their parking lol. I guess I do have one more issue. Security. I worked security for years in the city and in the oilfield, I know you try to find an affordable quote from a contractor and you hire them but the officer they have on location has never been seen in my area of the apartments by the exit near building 12 I believe. Either hire more officers to cover more ground or get a new contractor. Shoot even I will renew my license and do it lol. (That’s not how it works , I know but still) Beyond those issues I love the staff. The people in maintenance are the definition of diligent and it is even a pleasure to talk with them while they work. I’m not a particular upbeat or friendly person. I’m not hyping this place up because I’m a happy go lucky guy, but this place has and continues to make me happy. You won’t regret moving here. As soon as our lease is up we are definitely going to stay here but get a larger apartment as the floor plans anywhere else just don’t seem to be as nice as the ones here.

Walked in with limited time to view the property and was treated with excellence with Claudia answering all of my questions while making me feel apart of the community already. All numbers and expenses were explained in detail but not in a pressing sales expression, more so in a kind, “we are here for you” approach, mixed with top class. Thank you for making the process of relocating to another city so effortlessly easy.

I enjoyed my time at Montecristo, I’m almost sad to leave. The staff stays on top of things and do their best to fix problems; Robert is a thorough and kind maintenance manager who always brings fun conversation to the table, and words of advice. I signed with Gabe two years ago and he made sure that my time at Montecristo was satisfactory. The rest of the staff are also great, I just don’t know everyone by name. Overall, I’m glad that I stayed here and wish a good future to the property!

I’m going to miss this place for unmatched pricing and service. Ahead of moving here 8 years ago (whoa), I saw the reviews about parking struggles. With that, I toured the complex and noted the buildings near ample parking. I’ve lived in several complexes and this is the only one with the entire maintenance crew up at 8am daily – you don’t ever see that. The car next to mine got broken into for the reason of being unknowingly unlocked. Maintenance has since set up cameras to keep watch of the entry drive. I’ve gotten to know many neighbors just from walking my dog, and we all look out for each other. The building has pretty good insulation to where you can’t really hear neighbors, but that has proved to be different for me only this year — I have a heavy footed person living upstairs and some igmo blasting his car music late at night. Only other complaints are the steep required valet trash fee and too many outsiders occupying the pool. Regardless, I without a doubt recommend this place.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful. Well located, perfect facilities, reasonable price. Everything excellent Defects? some, like everyone; but they work hard to solve them. Administrators seek to integrate the community by holding events at no cost to residents (Halloween, July 4, father’s day, etc.), offering food or candy. That is not easily found in other places. (Original) Precioso. Bien ubicado, instalaciones perfectas, precio razonable.

We lived at the Montecristo for 3 years and it was a top notch place to be. Can’t say enough good things about the management and the staff. Maintenance issues, though few, were handled professionally and efficiently and the staff was always so kind and helpful. Move out was a breeze – there were no horror story unwarranted charges or anything of the sort. It’s not often that I feel compelled to go online to give a positive review of a business, but we had such a great experience living here that it is well deserved. I would highly recommend to anyone to make it their home.

I lived here for 3 years and I really loved this place! The management is extremely nice and helpful. I love all the activities they make ( breakfast and dinner for the residents and contests ) also one time my AC broke at a super late hour and they immediately came, also not to mention that the area is pretty good if you want to be in a good school district.
Samantha Ramirez The staff are friendly, polite and professional.

One of the best properties in Stone Oak, great location, is really central, great community, I love the facts that the staff does residential events probably like every two weeks, the staff is so friendly, they’re always helping and you can tell they do they’re very best to take care of any situation. I been here five months and I’m really happy with my decision of moving in here, maintenance always takes care of any issue and they keep the property really clean which says a lot the pool is always looking great and the fitness center definitely has everything I need.

I am kind of obsessed with how much I love my apartment complex. My lease just ended and I’m beyond excited to move into a bigger apartment at the Montecristo.

Best apartments I have ever lived in. For starters this place is quite. The grounds are kept very clean and the maintenance staff is on point every time! Jocelyn and Gabe treat me like a old friend whether its just a phone call or a drop in the office to pick up a package. Being in sales that goes a very long way with me! Keep up the great work guys!
